Before we move on, I would like to show a picture of another Sullustan that never made the editor's final cut in Return of the Jedi. This is Ten Nunb and he was supposedly a B-Wing pilot, but he got cut when the B-Wing Scene got cut. Kinda sad. . .

Okay, for starters, Nien Nunb is a Sullustan, from Sullust (a dark and volcanic planet). He stands 1.6 meters tall, which I've been told, is tall for a Sullstan. He belongs to the Rebel Alliance, and he played an integral part in the Battle of Endor and the destruction of the Second Death Star. He made his debut in Return of the Jedi.
Nien Nunb is jowled, with large ears and round black eyes. His oversized ears make him sensitive to the slightest sounds. His larger-than-normal eyes allow him to adapt his vision for nocturnal activities. Characteristic of most Sullustans, Nien Nunb has an enhanced sense of direction, giving him advantages in memorizing maps, pathways, star charts, and coordinates (Really, I'm not making this stuff up . . . check out Star Wars: The Essential Guide Characters by Andy Mangels -- terrific reading material, might I add). Because of all of these special attributes, he makes for an excellent pilot and navigator.
